The NZSCA is a leading rural sector association for shearing Contractors within New Zealand.
The NZSCA is a nationally orientated democratic organisation that provides and represents its members with a collective voice from within each province. It is a voluntary, member funded organisation, accountable to its members.
The Association represents almost 100 financial members who we estimate shear approximately 75% of the national flock.
All executive members are elected at the AGM by the financial members.
Part of the NZSCA constitutional policy is to obtain the best geographical spread of elected executive members from throughout NZ.

- Barry is nearing 50. Pullin Shearing is a family business run by Barry and Trisha. They have 2 teenage boys and enjoy living in the rural environment, close to Rolleston
- Barry shore full time since the age of 24, and has been contracting for 20 years
- Barry operates in the Canterbury region from Banks Peninsula across to the Main Divide and from just north of Ashburton to North Canterbury
- All breeds are shorn, 25% being Merino

- Motu's area is based in the Northern Wairarapa, Pahiatua and Eketahuna areas specifically
- Cross bred sheep are the exclusive type shorn
- Motu served four terms as President of NZSCA

- A contractor for 6 years
- We shear out of Piopio in the King Country
- Shearing the traditional strong wool breeds ie: Romney, Perendale etc as well as the new composite type breed
